Nothing is ever, ever inevitable.
Never in time have truer words been written. The problem with it is, most of us are NOT willing to think.
I do not like Substack. Substack probably does not like me. I do not care at all.
Substack wants to be the disseminator of public opinion, the seller of words and ideas. There is a fly in that ointment; most words get misused and ideas are personal property. When shared, if they are whacko enough, they may well catch on.
This world needs stability. This world needs thoughtful leadership.
This world does NOT need conjecture.
There are things that we know for certain. All else is irrelevant.
I know of no way to delete the crap I won’t listen to. I swipe it and it “archives.” I’ve no idea how to find it and I don’t care.
War is not an inevitability, neither is it a part of the fucking “human condition.”
Election interference is a reality that must be defeated.
The United States government is in dire need of replacement.
These are the facts going forward.
If you feel there is more to worry about, drop me a line. If your words are insufferable you shall be “archived.”

I think inevitability is a construct of hindsight. It may seem inevitable that I would meet my wife, have my kids, etc. But was it? Or was it the consequence of choices I made and she made?
Especially as you get older it's easy to look at the events in your life as inevitable since our minds are wired to look for patterns, for cause and effect. Same with history; it's easy to see the outcomes of, say, wars or social movements as "inevitable" but the outcome didn't seem so certain to those living through it.
So yeah, nothing is inevitable.
Damn if Aretha Franklin didn't pop into my skull. Think.
