Either way, like you I find myself increasingly disenchanted with how wealth accumulation or credentials are somehow equated with superiority. It's a new form of aristocracy.
I thought the one good to come from the pandemic shut downs was the realization that the humble grocery store clerk was far more essential to the functioning of society than Taylor Swift or any movie star. Unfortunatley that appreciation was fleeting and we went right back to thinking people who play dress up for a living are more important than the people who, say, produce our food. We need a re-set, and not the one the Davos set wants to implement.
