My younger brother is a machinist. He's my go-to source on info about metals when I'm smithing (especially on the different kinds of carbon steel). I've tried to talk my sons in to pursuing the trade but to no avail. They seem to be in high demand still.
Oh, the demand is there. For the most part, the money isn't. The turkeys that need and use machinists seem to think $14-$16 an hour is a good starting point. Work hard, show up, produce zero scrap and you'll grudgingly get another $2 after a couple of years. I know machinists for government contractors such as Lockheed Martin can be pretty well-paid. Nothing like that where I live.
Evidently you have me confused with someone else. I recommend you submit your resume with an actual employer. I have no company interest, involvement or connection and have not heard of the company you mention. Good luck.
I am writing to apply for the Maintenance Technician position at your company. With my experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of Mazak CNC machines, pneumatic machines, and hydraulic presses, as well as my participation in the design and implementation of a robotic arm, and my expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance of pneumatic machines and hydraulic presses (levels 1, 2, and 3), I am confident that I can contribute effectively to your projects and help you achieve your objectives. Your company, MK Aéro Groupe Mecachrome, is a recognized leader in the aeronautics sector, and I wish to leverage my CNC machine skills to actively contribute to your growth.
I am available for an interview at your convenience to discuss my motivation and background in more detail. Sincerely,

That’s where my brother works.
He’s more of a supervisor now but still knows his stuff.
Sounds like machinists need a union!
Trust me I know all about unions.
