One Size Never Fits All
There is just no time to write anything introspectively. There is no time to theorize, and this is certainly no place to play games. I’ll get right to the point.
No presidential activity will ever be perfect.
That is specifically because, like it or not, the world is not “one-size-fits-all.” It isn’t even the colloquial meaning, “one-size-fits-most.” A nation is made up of every kind, every sort of person. The outcome that suits me may not suit you, or the other way around. Further, it cannot be carried out, all of the time, to suit a majority. That’s where the phrase “the tyranny of the majority” came from.
That being said, I’ve spent far too much time watching Democrats cry, and leftists feeling left out. I’ve spent just about the right amount of time watching Republicans gloat, and expound about the magnitude of the win, and about “mandates.” Which seldom actually are, mandates.
Here is the gist of my hope for this nation, and the world:
Donald Trump is no idiot. He may have a huge ego and a thick skull, but he understands the problems and he wants to address them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with “making America great again.”
Donald Trump loves peace, and sees no profit in conflict. And boy, does he ever prefer profit.
The “green” movement is completely out of control and does little or nothing about issues like excess carbon, in fact, most of the “solutions” only make it worse. If we’re going to pursue nuclear energy, we’re going to have a place to put nuclear waste. During his first administration, Trump revisited and re-funded the Yucca Mountain project, and he will again, as well as exploring other options. Fossil fuels are a reality, both practically and economically, and there are viable alternatives that need funding. I trust Donald Trump to address that. And no, I don’t trust anyone else.
Immigration is a sticky subject, because these are people, looking for a home. Most of them. But, about one million people cross that border legally each year, and stay. Deportation may sound terrible, but it’s the sort of thing people are supposed to give thought to before they leap, and cross an international border illegally. For those who are criminals trying to escape justice in their own countries, no quarter shall be offered. For those who happen to be families, hopefully they will be dealt with last if at all. But this is one of those places where one size most definitely will not, fit all. To me, immigrants are welcome. As long as they enter the country legally. As an American and a voter I have no time for extensive benefits, in perpetuity, in exchange for swelling the ranks of Democrat voters. End of story.
It is now just one week since the election, and I’m beginning to believe that the corporatocracy may be somewhat at bay. They do seem to understand that a massive majority of Americans have rejected their agenda. There would of necessity be a backup plan in the works, but with Trump in office and potentially, Vance coming along behind him, I am not so fearful that they will pull off another pandemic, although they will try. I am, at this point, hopeful that the hazard of threatened rule by elites may also be addressed by our new President.
Prior to the campaigns, most of us knew why Trump should win this election. For those in the Democrat, left-leaning camp, it’s really simple. Americans want to live and let live. Americans want to live their lives. Americans want decent jobs, good schools and nice homes.
We have no time for wokeness, for racist hammerings about being racists, for illegal immigration or for lawlessness in general. Step on our toes, and we will most definitely, step on yours.
Some people seem fearful about the involvement of Elon Musk in government issues. I am encouraged by it. Here is a man who has become the richest man in the world through his obsessive hard work and his positive actions, but he can never be president because he was not native-born. He possesses more sense and more drive than anyone, and like Donald Trump he is tired of seeing America’s extensive resources misused. I welcome his involvement.
That said, for certain, not everyone will be well-pleased with all of his actions. He may not have been elected, but no one in President Trump’s cabinet, nor his advisers were, either.
In fact if the current coalition holds together, I think we are in for some great policies and excellent economic times. I hope Donald Trump has the patience for it.

I think that last part is the thing to watch: will Trump's cabinet of high-profile personalities back him up when the pressure is applied? too many times they didn't during his first term. He seems to be aware of this and appeare to be picking people he is confident he can trust. Ironically, this bunch now probably has more incentive to be disloyal for personal gain. We shall see
