Reflect upon my life
Reviving dreams of grandeur, and earned repose;
So far in the past those wishes lay.

I might have had a castle,
Among the shimmering clouds
I might have had a woman, to hold and keep me warm.

Today the breath of God
Seems so much nearer.
The pathways of my life have been trodden
Things that might have been…
