There has to be a solution. It just can’t be that hard.
If nobody can agree on anything, then somebody has to give in, right? Right?
Any volunteers?
I’m not going to, and I can see by your actions and your statements, your level of commitment is total.
I want immigrants who came here illegally, deported. You consider them to be the same as citizens, and expect they should be allowed to stay. So, why do you believe that? Is it because you feel for them? Is it because you respect their humanity? Is it because, you think you personally are unaffected?
We might agree on that last one. You don’t think it will impact you personally. Let’s look at your other possible motives, that you don’t mention.
You have money and want to pay less for labor, such as, plumbers and electricians and carpenters who work for cheap. Why pay regular Americans, who obviously don’t deserve your money?
These immigrants are desperate for a new home and will be overly grateful for the opportunity to live here, so of course, they’ll vote Democrat, like you. Right?
Well wait. They aren’t citizens, so they can’t vote. Legally. Oh, you want to change that? Now isn’t that interesting.
I believe that you have absolutely zero interest in their well-being and their futures. I believe you want them here for cheap labor and for their votes. End of story.
Well, here’s a fucking wake-up call. We’re going to deport them.

That's the dirty secret of illegal immigration...the illegal immigrants are really being exploited for corporate profits, and at the expense of legal workers (whether citizens or green-card holders). The way wages are supposed to rise is like this; you have a reall crummy job you need someone to do, you offer $10 an hour, no one takes it. So you offer $15 an hour, and no one takes it, so you offer $20 and now someone takes it. This is how wages rise. The way it works now is: You offer $10 an hour, no one takes it, so you get an illegal to do it for $8. Not only is this exploitation, it keeps wages stagnant. And there's the whole separate issue of the illegals engaged in unproductive employment like private nannies, housekeepers, gardeners, etc. The vested interests aren't just businesses; they're wealthy people who hire illegals as household staff and use the same justifications for that as the British aristocracy did prior to WW2. Add to that illegals can't vote or form unions or anything else because their status is, well, illegal.
Bottom line...if you are pro illegal immigration you are anti-worker, anti-union, anti-labor. That's why all the support for illegal immigration used to be from Republicans and Democrats universally opposed it. That it's now the opposite shows which party now represents the wealthy.
That's better than my short piece. Restacking.
