I have wondered if an ameoba perceives, anything. Seems unlikely, but if it did, does that indicate it would not perceive the dimension of height?
Dimensionality is a tricky thing. The idea that mathematics “proves” existence of more than 3 is ridiculous, and it’s how we’re in this quantum mess to begin with. If we can’t actually even imagine what a fourth, fifth or sixth dimension would occupy, of what value is that, exactly? We occupy, guess what, 3.
My limitations are obviously, human. Flatland (I looked it over but it needs to interest me if I’m going to read it) seems like a fun fantasy.
